Eight Seconds
BRAND STRATEGY, IDENTITY DESIGN, POSTER DESIGN
TIMELINE: 10 WEEKS
TEAM: ALICE DIBBO
The average attention span for adults has been shrinking as we have grown accustomed to the on-demand and digitalized world. What was once measured before at 12 seconds, studies now are showing that people generally lose interest in 8 seconds. The conference addresses the recent findings, the implications of our shortened attention span with our own productivity, and strategies on how we might get those lost seconds back.

EYE-GRABBING: TAKING INSPIRATION FROM DISTRACTION
The conference identity revolves around the "eyes" as a reflection of our distractions. Eye movement and scanning symbolize a lack of focus. The eye form also creates the "8" shape when layered together. The branding blends vibrant pops of color with structured lines and a grid layout, highlighting the balance between the conference theme and its goals.

FOCUS-FORWARD SWAG
Along with the branded materials provided at the conference, take-home items also play a key role in shaping the overall identity. Items like a Pomodoro timer and a reflective journal are designed not only to remind attendees of what they've learned but also to reinforce the conference's focus on attention span. These souvenirs offer visitors a way to reflect on their conference experience long after the event.
